Dr. Jacqueline Moulton, ND
I always wanted to be part of the healthcare field growing up with a Nurse Mom and often heard stories at the dinner table… not for the faint hearted. I didn’t learn about Naturopathic Medicine until going into the 4th year of my honor’s undergraduate degree in Health Sciences. Earlier in my undergraduate degree I experienced the tragic loss of a family member at a young age to Heart disease. Which caused me to further investigate Cardiovascular Health related courses and preventative medicine. This is when I stumbled across Naturopathic Medicine. I shadowed a Naturopathic doctor in my home town and instantly fell in love with this style of medicine- patient centered, preventative, & using the healing power of nature. It resonated with my own core beliefs and thus I decided to stop prepping for the MCATS and I applied to CCNM the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.
I’m the eldest of three strong independent health focused sisters all working in healthcare fields… the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. My husband and I are big nature fans and you can often find us out on hikes, going camping or visiting my parent’s cottage up north on our time away from work. And although we have not been blessed with children, we have a love for animals, cuddling & playing with our Fur-Babies. I’m also a foodie and enjoy transforming many common dishes into healthier versions. One of my strengths as a Naturopathic doctor is to meet patients where there at in their health journey gently nudging them to make changes in order to achieve their health goals. Putting “You” in control of your health journey makes the changes sustainable. In the time of started practicing I’ve developed a niche for pain management being able to assess & treat many musculoskeletal concerns with acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, laser, manipulations, cupping, stretches/exercises & massage. I’ve also completed additional training in prescribing bio-identical hormones & desiccated thyroid extracts, treatments for digestive-related concerns and currently completing Intravenous Therapies (IVIT) course & exam. I’ve developed an interest in treating Heart disease, Autoimmune disease & Immunity and Pain management.
