Psychotherapist

Jennifer is passionate about supporting adolescents, adults, couples, and families as they navigate emotional wellbeing, relationships, and life transitions. As both a psychotherapist and professor in Early Childhood and Disability Studies, she brings a strong foundation in development, attachment, and emotional regulation across the lifespan.

With extensive experience working alongside individuals and families, Jennifer understands how early experiences shape identity, behaviour, and relational patterns — and how these patterns often carry into adulthood. She also brings experience supporting individuals and couples navigating ADHD and differences in communication, regulation, and connection. This perspective allows her to meet clients with both depth and practicality, whether guiding adults through deeper emotional work, supporting couples in strengthening communication and connection, or working with children through developmentally attuned approaches.

Jennifer offers a space grounded in empathy, safety, and authenticity. She believes healing begins when we slow down, build awareness, and gently shift the patterns that no longer serve us. Integrating mindfulness into her work, she supports clients in developing greater presence, emotional regulation, and connection to themselves. Her goal is for each client to leave sessions feeling supported, understood, and more connected to themselves and, when working with couples, more connected to one another.

Jennifer’s approach is integrative and relational, with a strong focus on creating a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. She draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based approaches, attachment-based frameworks, and somatic practices to tailor each session to the individual or couple.

She supports clients navigating anxiety, ADHD, behavioural challenges, trauma, addiction, stress, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Jennifer specializes in working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are looking to strengthen emotional regulation, improve communication, set healthy boundaries, and create meaningful growth.
