What Is Virtual Care?

A virtual appointment is the same conversation you would have in our Burlington clinic, held over secure video instead of in person. Your practitioner takes your history, asks questions, reviews what you've tried already, and works with you on a plan.

Some of what we do needs hands on you, so it stays in the clinic. Care that's built on conversation, assessment and planning translates well to video. That includes naturopathic care, psychotherapy, holistic nutrition and coaching appointments.

How It Works

What Happens When You Book a Virtual Appointment

Four steps, and nothing technical to set up beforehand.

  1. 01

    Book Your Appointment

Choose a virtual appointment when you book online, or call us and we'll get you in with the right practitioner.
  2. 02

    Complete Your Intake Forms

You'll get your intake paperwork by email ahead of time. Filling it in before your appointment means more of your time goes to the conversation.
  3. 03

    Join by Secure Video Link

We send you a link before your appointment. Click it at your appointment time on a phone, tablet or computer. There's nothing to download or install.
  4. 04

    Leave With a Plan

Your practitioner will go over what they found and what they recommend, and book any follow-up you need. Anything for you to review later is sent to you afterwards.

Available Anywhere in Ontario

You don't have to live near Burlington to work with us. Virtual appointments are open to patients across Ontario, which matters if you're outside the area, travel for work, or can't get to the clinic during opening hours. If you're ever unsure whether your situation suits a virtual appointment, get in touch and we'll tell you honestly.

Free 15-Minute Consultations

If you're not sure where to start, or which practitioner is the right fit, you can book a free 15-minute consultation.

It's a short call to talk about what is going on, hear how we would approach it, and ask us anything before you commit. It's not a treatment session and it's not a diagnosis, and there's no obligation to book anything afterwards.

Common Questions About Virtual Care

Do I need to live in Burlington?

No. Virtual appointments are available to patients anywhere in Ontario.

What do I need to join my appointment?

A phone, tablet or computer with a camera, and an internet connection. We send you a link before your appointment, and there's nothing to download.

Is virtual care covered by insurance?

Many extended health plans cover virtual appointments the same way they cover in-person visits, but coverage varies by plan. Check with your insurer before your appointment, and we'll give you a receipt either way.

What if I need to be seen in person?

Some care needs hands-on assessment and treatment, and we'll tell you if that's the case. You're welcome to combine virtual appointments with in-clinic visits when that suits you better.

Is my appointment private?

Yes. Appointments are held over a secure video connection, and your health information is handled the same way as for an in-clinic visit. Find a quiet spot where nobody will overhear you.
